About this game
Battle for Atlantis is a territory strategy game played across 43 cities on eight islands. You command the Olympians, while the computer controls the Calydonians, Argonauts and Titans. At the start, choose a difficulty from one to seven and the initial army limit. Owning cities supplies reinforcements; controlling an entire island adds a further bonus.
Attacks must follow adjacent territories or the marked links between islands. You need at least as many armies as the target, but equal numbers are risky: tied dice rolls favor the defender. Letting an attacking force fall to one army loses both the turn and its territory. You can stop attacking, or move one group of troops to a neighboring city to finish your turn.
The packaged manual covers version 2.2. Earthquakes, floods and rebellions can reduce forces, while good weather doubles armies at marked production centers. Watch those events before committing your strongest stack. H explains the action keys, and O opens options including the game’s own save command.
