About this game
Aspetra is a DOS role-playing game built around exploration, conversations and encounters with monsters. Towns provide information, shops and inns, while wilderness and dungeon travel can lead to combat. Experience improves the hero’s level and abilities, and equipment changes help prepare for the next journey.
The controls are deliberately small: arrow keys move the hero or a menu cursor, Space and Enter interact or confirm, and Escape opens the main menu or backs out. Face a person before talking, or stand at a shop counter before opening its buy-and-sell menu. In battle, wait for the readiness bar to fill, then choose an action and target.
This archive is the shareware version. Its ending message describes the full story, magic system and optional dungeon as registered-version additions, so they should not be expected from this sample. Use the in-game menu to inspect stats, equip items or access its save slots. Escape can attempt to run from combat, but mandatory fights cannot be escaped.
