About this game
NovaSquirrel's Conway's Life for Game Boy is a cellular-automaton playground with a 32x32 grid. The original program begins with a small glider pattern. Let it evolve, or pause to draw your own cells and see how a different arrangement behaves.
Press X, mapped to Game Boy A, to enter editing while the simulation runs. In edit mode, use the arrows to move the cursor and X to toggle a cell. Enter, the Start button, resumes the simulation. Z opens the menu, where you can return to editing, clear the grid or randomize it. Tab maps to Select and clears the grid directly while editing.
Stay with the default 32x32 grid: the developer explicitly warns that the 64x64 mode does not work. The menu also offers a faster mode on Game Boy Color. Change one part of a pattern at a time so you can compare its effect.
