About this game
Space Crusaders is CodeRed Soft's arcade-style alien shooter. Move your ship left and right while firing into the attackers above. The archived instructions identify version 1.3, whose history records visual and sound updates to the earlier releases.
The controls are deliberately small: Left and Right move, Space fires, P pauses and Q quits. Learn the distinction between pausing and leaving before a run. Since movement is horizontal, positioning under a target is the main task alongside firing.
The version history notes that different planets appear as levels are completed. It also mentions a possible future true-colour edition, but that announcement is not a feature of the preserved 1.3 package. This page describes the DOS build and its documented keys, without treating an old coming-soon notice as a released upgrade.
