About this game
Harald Winkler's Digger is a room-based digging puzzle game. You clear earth, collect diamonds and work around falling balls, ghosts and blocked exits. The original version 2.0 manual gives each room a three-minute time limit. The first room spells out the game's name in its layout and asks for 60 diamonds; its preview lets you study the arrangement before entering.
This archived copy is the version 2.0 trial. At the opening trial notice, press the letter displayed beside weiter to continue. The main menu offers Space to start and F1 for animated instructions. Confirm Spielen with Enter at the room preview. Use the arrow keys to move through the room. Watch Diamanten for the target and Gesammelt for the amount collected, while Zeit shows the remaining time. Space pauses the action and displays SPIELPAUSE; press it again to resume.
Plan what will happen above you when you remove earth or collect a diamond. In the opening room, clearing a path can let a ball fall into it, so an apparently open return route may become dangerous. Escape abandons the current attempt, according to the original controls. The trial's own notice distinguishes full-version features such as saved high scores and starting-room selection; this guide does not assume those features are available here.
