About this game
Galacta: The Battle for Saturn sends a lone fighter against alien formations that keep moving as they attack. You steer across the bottom of the screen, fire into the gaps and watch for enemies diving towards your ship. It is a short-step, quick-reaction shooter: chasing one target can leave you exposed to the next formation.
The native instructions assign shooting to Shift and the shield to Alt. Those are separate actions, so you can move while firing rather than repeatedly stopping to line up a shot. The title screen also provides instructions and copyright information; open those before a first attempt if you want to see the original diagrams.
This package is Sean M. Puckett’s 1993 version 1.1 shareware release from Albino Frog Software. It preserves the original executable, credits and registration notice. It is the distributed evaluation episode, not a registered edition or a translation of the game itself. The website supplies English and Chinese guidance around the unchanged DOS game.

Quick tips
Wait for the title screen, then press Enter to play. Press I there to read the original control diagrams; Esc returns from the instructions.
Hold Shift while moving left or right to fire along your route. Alt operates the shield; keep an eye on threats coming from both sides.
P pauses the action. Use Esc to abandon the current game if you want to return to the title screen.
