About this game
GUB is a short shoot-'em-up intended for a quick break. Its developer describes games lasting at most a few minutes, with the focus on shooting and score rather than a long story. Ammunition is unlimited, leaving you free to concentrate on movement and keeping a firing lane open.
The included instructions identify version 1.1. That update added a slower mode, but halves the score as well as the speed. A result earned there therefore cannot be compared directly with the same number of hits at full speed. The update also added an in-game score display and a pause control.
Move the ship with the arrows and fire with Space. Pause or Num Lock pauses the game; press the same key again to continue. H hides the score display and S brings it back. Keeping the score visible can help you judge a run, while hiding it leaves less to look at during a busy wave.
