About this game
HEXES combines shooting with an arithmetic puzzle. Your ship turns around a central number. The goal is to change that number to the target before the timer runs out. Numbers use hexadecimal notation, and the arithmetic wraps around the 0–255 range.
Use Left and Right to steer and tap X to shoot. Hitting a floating operator or number puts it in the OPR or NUM slot. Once both are filled, Z applies that operation to the centre number. A new pickup replaces the old item in its slot, so aim for useful modifiers instead of collecting everything.
Destroying enemies adds time, and finishing with more time left earns more points. The % symbol means the remainder after division, not a percentage. Enter starts the game and pauses or resumes play.
