About this game
Jetpack Christmas Special replaces the usual adventurer with Santa. Collect every gift in a level to open its exit portal, while using ladders, platforms and a fuel-hungry jetpack to avoid hazards. Some levels have no fuel at all, so flight is not always the answer.
The included 1993 manual identifies this holiday edition by Adam Pedersen, published by Software Creations. It explains two separate tools: the jetpack for flight and the phase shifter for tunnelling through certain bricks. Dense bricks take longer to break; grey stone cannot be phased.
Press S on the main menu to start. During play, use the arrows to move, Alt for the jetpack and Ctrl for the phase shifter. Down activates buttons or teleporters when Santa is touching them; in flight it maintains altitude. Matching coloured buttons change barriers, but monsters can also trigger floor switches. Escape kills the current Santa, so use F10 when you only want to pause.
