About this game
Reno Gold is Vagabondo Enterprises’ casino-style Klondike solitaire game. You begin with a virtual stake and choose an imaginary wager for each hand. The screen keeps track of your stake, hands played and wins. Classic Klondike sits alongside variations that use one, two or three suits; no real-money betting is involved.
Click the game to capture the mouse, then use its own crosshair to point at the controls. Press Esc whenever you need to release the pointer. Choose Bet ’em to prepare a hand, use the enabled numbered buttons to build a wager, and choose Deal. The built-in Help, etc panel explains the wager buttons, card designs and variations.
During play, drag face-up cards between the seven columns and the foundation spaces at the top. Start a foundation with an ace, click an exposed face-down card to turn it over, and click the stock at the upper left to draw more cards. Watch the pass counter and the selected variation: changing the variation changes the hand you are playing. The archived package includes the developer’s DOS instructions and a companion README identifying version 1.1.
