About this game

SkyRoads Xmas Special is a separate set of thirty roads built around the original SkyRoads driving and jumping mechanics. Festive scenery gives parts of the journey a different backdrop, while the tighter routes ask for careful timing rather than simply holding the accelerator.

You guide a spacecraft along floating platforms, threading through obstacles and jumping over gaps. Fuel and oxygen limit each attempt. A jump’s reach depends on speed, and the colored surfaces can provide supplies, boost the craft or make the next maneuver harder.

Select Start, pick a road with the arrow keys and confirm with Enter. Left and Right steer, Up accelerates, Down slows down and Space jumps. Use Help in the main menu to review the original key guide and surface legend.

This page contains the complete 1993 DOS Xmas Special released as freeware by BlueMoon, with all thirty roads. It is a distinct game entry, not a graphics toggle for SkyRoads and not the six-road shareware edition.

Quick tips

If the opening roads feel demanding, practice acceleration and jumping in the original SkyRoads first.

Use short steering adjustments near narrow landings.

Learn a route at a controlled speed before trying longer jumps.
