About this game
Taxi Run places you in a city made from a nine-by-nine grid of intersections. Rather than steering with arrow keys, you rotate streets with the mouse so the taxi can reach passengers and their destinations. Moving the pointer scrolls the play area.
Bridges connect opposite edges of the city, and the small map helps you find the next fare. Each level has an earnings target and may also require a number of completed drop-offs. Returning to the taxi stand after serving all five customers earns another taxi.
This is the 1.0 shareware package credited to Doug and Larry Murk. Its original manual is dated 1995, while the download catalog lists 1997. The package offers five levels plus one bonus level; the registered edition’s larger set is not included.
