About this game
The Axe is a compact Game Boy Advance game created for GBA Jam 2022. A small character walks along a horizontal path while a large axe moves up and down across it. The challenge is to judge that motion and avoid a collision as you move past.
Press Enter at the title to begin, then use the left and right arrows to walk. Watch the axe for a moment before approaching its path, and release the direction key when you need to wait. The scene is deliberately simple, keeping the moving obstacle easy to follow.
A collision brings up the death screen. Press Enter there to try again, or Tab to return to the title. On this site those keys represent the original Start and Select buttons.
