About this game
The Castle of Dr. Malvado is a side-scrolling platform game whose opening stage takes you through a forest of mossy ledges, giant mushrooms and streams. You control a small, red-clad character among moving enemies and floating golden rings. The original Spanish credits name Daniel Navarro Medrano for programming, Rafael Barraso Martin for graphics and Carlos Llana Alejandro for sound.
A new run starts with three lives. The top of the screen shows your remaining lives, score and ring count. The first stretch already places a bear on the raised ledge ahead and another below it, so moving forward without watching their paths quickly costs a life. Jump between safe landing spots and adjust your horizontal movement while in the air.
Use Left and Right to move and Space to jump. Press Enter from the title or credits to begin a run. Escape returns from the level to the title sequence, so avoid using it as a pause key when you want to keep playing.
