About this game

RealWorm is a compact DOS snake game with a colourful worm travelling around a bordered black arena. A score counter and remaining lives appear along the bottom. The opening game begins with three lives and a bright pickup inside the playing area.

Choose a speed from 1 to 9 at the initial prompt. Allow the title screen to finish appearing, then press Space when it asks you to begin. During play, the arrow keys change the worm's direction; movement continues after you release a key.

Turn before reaching the edge rather than waiting until the head touches it. Leave room to approach the next pickup and watch the life counter after a collision. Start with speed 1 while learning how far the worm travels between turns.
