About this game
Ballgame places a rolling ball on a raised, winding track surrounded by a drop. Its on-screen German instructions ask whether you can complete a circuit without skidding. The view follows the ball as it moves, leaving the instruction panel visible beside the playfield.
Press P at the opening menu to play. Left and Right steer, and Up accelerates. This is a steering game rather than a four-direction grid: allow room for the ball to turn as it travels. Release acceleration before a tight bend instead of trying to make every corner at full speed.
The original instruction panel warns that crossing the edge costs a life, and that oil or grass can make the ball skid if approached too quickly. Keep to a clear part of the track while learning the route. The opening menu’s Q option quits. Begin with controlled, short bursts of acceleration and use the scrolling scenery to judge how rapidly you are moving.
