About this game
Body Blows is Team17's 1993 fighting game, preserved here as its freely distributable PC demo. The included readme limits this edition to one round and two characters, playable by one or two people. The full game's larger roster and additional modes are outside this demo's scope.
Each fighter uses an eight-direction layout plus one action button. For player one, W, E and R cover the upper directions, S and D the sides, and Z, X and C the lower directions. J is the action button.
Player two uses the matching numeric layout: 7, 8, 9 across the top, 4 and 6 at the sides, and 1, 2, 3 below, with Enter for action. Agree on the two key groups before starting a shared game. Since direction and action work together, learn the layout before attempting combinations near an opponent.
