About this game
Clueless is a chess opponent designed for beginners. Select one of six playing levels before starting; the list puts the strongest setting at the top, so the bottom option is the gentlest place to begin. The computer randomly chooses which color it will play.
Make a move by clicking the piece and its destination, in either order. If one click uniquely specifies a move, Clueless makes it immediately. Click a selected piece's destination carefully rather than assuming a second confirmation is always required.
For castling, select the king's destination square. For en passant, select the pawn being captured. Promotion automatically produces a queen. Esc exits the current game and writes its position to the game's own save file; the next launch can offer to resume it. That in-game file is distinct from the browser player's save controls.
