About this game
Secret Agent is Apogee Software’s 1992 platform action game starring Agent 006. In the first mission, The Hunt for Red Rock Rover, your assignment is to recover missing satellite blueprints from an island fortress. Before the central stronghold becomes accessible, you must deal with the security installations around it.
An overhead island map connects the side-view levels. Walk into an entrance to begin its mission, then look for colored keys, computer equipment, explosives and the route to the exit. Barrels can be pushed into useful positions, and teleporters connect otherwise separated parts of a stage. Security equipment matters as much as the guards.
Choose N for a new game. Arrow keys move around the island; in a level, Left and Right move, Ctrl jumps and Alt fires. The pistol starts with a small ammunition supply, so collect extra shots rather than firing continuously. F1 opens the operational menu with instructions, keyboard configuration, save and restore.
This is the first shareware mission from the DOS 1.0a distribution. The title screen identifies the game as version 1.0. The two additional commercial missions are not included.

Quick tips
Walk into a building on the island map to enter its level; the starting map is part of the game.
Match colored keys to doors and inspect computers, disks and security equipment before assuming a route is blocked.
Keep some ammunition for essential targets. Extra-shot pickups replenish the small starting supply.
